Our Medication-Assisted Treatment Programs

Why medication-assisted treatment? MAT programs are an evidence-based approach to treating opioid addiction, and they have been shown to be more effective than other methods of treatment like detoxification or behavioral therapy alone.

MAT programs work by using medications to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms while also providing counseling and other forms of support to help patients recover from addiction.

We provide Suboxone treatment as part of our MAT program. Suboxone is a medication that is used to treat opioid addiction, and it can be taken in the form of a pill or film that dissolves under the tongue. This medication helps to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, making it easier for patients to stick to their treatment plan.

MAT and Counseling

Medication alone is not enough to treat addiction, which is why our MAT programs also include counseling and other forms of support.

Counseling involves meeting with a therapist on a regular basis to discuss your goals for treatment and any challenges you may be facing. During these sessions, you’ll:

  • Identify triggers for relapse
  • Work through the underlying causes of addiction
  • Develop coping mechanisms for long-term recovery

This comprehensive approach to treatment ensures that you have the tools you need to successfully recover from addiction.

What to Expect from Our MAT Programs

Scheduling

One way we’re making addiction treatment more accessible is by incorporating technology into our MAT programs.

New patients are able to schedule appointments and go through the intake process entirely online. Once the forms are complete, we’ll send out appointment reminders so you can stay on top of your schedule and commitments. Your first appointment will be about an hour long, during which you’ll get a chance to meet your practitioner and the director of the program.

Your First Visits

During the initial visits, our team will lay out a strategic plan for addiction treatment. We highlight the importance of establishing a community for recovery by placing each individual in a small group. You’ll identify your goals for treatment and begin to build relationships with your group members.

Ongoing Treatment

After the first few visits, you’ll begin to see your practitioner on a regular basis. Scheduling and rescheduling appointments at MD M.A.T.T. is simple should you need to make any changes to your schedule.

You’ll take Suboxone as prescribed and attend counseling sessions on a regular basis. This treatment isn’t just about treating addiction or overcoming the craving; it is about recovery. You’ll find purpose in all that you do by building a community that supports you through thick and thin.
